Valentine Dance and Candy Grams


(KAS News: Aini Zabuddin) On Sunday, it was Valentine Day!! There were Candy Grams on Wednesday and Thursday, and there were the Valentine Dance for the 8th grade and high school students. The Student Government planned it.

Mrs.Ramsis and the Student Government organized the Valentine Dance and Candy Grams including: Emma Ramsis, Lucy Ramsis, Martha Ayad and Almaha Al-Hammadi. They’ve decorated the Quad for the Valentine Dance and flowers and candy to people for the Candy Grams. Emma Ramsis is a 9th grade student and Lucy is a 10th grade student. Both of them are the daughters of Mrs.Ramsis and were born in England but from the United State of America.

Martha Ayad and Almaha Al-Hammadi are both a 11th grade students. They are very close friends, Martha were born in England but a Sudanese citizen, and Almaha is from Qatar. They’ve been friends for 4 years since they were 8th graders till 11th graders.

Mrs.Ramsis, who organized most of the Valentine Dance and Candy Grams, also the high school student’s social studies teacher. She is 49 years old and has 4 children including: Zaki Ramsis in 6th grade, Basim Ramsis in 12th grade, Lucy Ramsis in 10th grade and Emma Ramsis in 9th grade. She’s a good teacher and a caring mother.

Mrs.Ramsis and the Student Government sells flowers (7 SDG) and candy (5 SDG) for the Candy Grams. On Sunday, They delivered the flowers and candy to each class. Someone bought the candy and flowers then the student government delivered it on Sunday. The Valentine Dance were on Thursday,18 Feb 2010 from 8 pm to 11 pm. The 8th graders and the High School Students were allowed to go. The students government and some students helped to decorate the Quad for the dance.

Lucy Ramsis, one of the student government said that they are doing this Valentine Dance and Candy Grams so that student can express they loving and caring to each other. They also doing this because they wanted to raise money to help the Haiti Earthquake Survivors. They’ll send the money to Haiti to help them buy more things like food, water and new houses for the survivors.

Last year, they had the same things but they didn’t have the flowers, only the candy. The high school students also had the Valentine Dance on Thursday. Mrs.Ramsis and the student government also organized the things last year on 2009.

Next year, maybe they’ll have a different thing or much more fun stuff to do on Valentine Day. But next year, Mrs.Ramsis and her entire family will be leaving Sudan and back to the United State of America. Maybe someone new will be taking place of Mrs.Ramsis’s job. Hope that new ‘organizer’ will be as great as Mrs.Ramsis.

what a boring day!!....hhmm.....i have no idea what to do.....i feel like the day is repeating over and over again...hhmm....wierd....cuz i do the same thing over and over again!!..that's y!!

that's all  i do in the weekdays....the same things!!!...it's freaking boring.....i want to change it but...i don't know what to change...uughh!!..watever....that's all....

it's almost winter??!!

yay!!..it's getting colder!!

i know it's fun.....but for me it's hard to breath if it's too cold...

it's super windy and cold!!....i was freezing...
i had P.E. for fisrt period today.....
i had to run 5 laps around the big field...
it's wierd but...i didn't even sweat!!...
hahaha...yay!!.....
but still feeling tired...
my P.E. teacher told the class the bring jacket to school...
hahha..no prob...
it's even more windy this afternoon...
hhhhmm....hahaahaha..nvm....it's cool.....
and i think eid break is only about 1 or 2 more weeks left!!...
wohoo!!..haahaha...(cuti je nak).....
hehehehe....hope i don't get a cold...hahhahah...
